Into the West
"Why do you weep? What are these tears upon your face? Soon you will see all of your fears will pass away. Safe in my arms, you're only sleeping..." ~Into the West, LotR

Just Me

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm completely over that morose post from a couple weeks ago. For now, anyway.
School is in full swing and I'm enjoying it. Except the mornings. Bad mornings, Bad! Wrote an in-class essay yesterday, had a surprise quiz in Calc, and have a Spanish test this afternoon, for which Kathryn and I must give an oral presentation, as our "proyecto oral."
You did get the script, right Kath?
Just checking.
So, I'm here. I'm around. I'm still alive.

Just thought you all might like to know that.

I love finding bits and pieces of old stories floating around, reading them, and getting inspired all over again. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

An epiphany

"I am so glad that Jesus loves me
Jesus loves me
Jesus loves me
I am so glad that Jesus loves me
Jesus loves even me"

"Out of mind, out of state, trying to keep my head on straight"

i'm edgy
i don't know why
i'm on a letdown from camp, I know
school started
spanish is overwhelming
i'm taking calculus, for pete's sake
my emotions are on a roller coaster
i get sudden urges to rearrange my room and go on ten miles runs
if i snap at you, i'm sorry
i'm trying
i can't say my life is awful
because that would be lying
but it definitely could be a lot better
maybe if i could learn just to let people live their lives
and that i can't do anything about it
and that i need to stop worrying
i worry too much
did you know that
now i'll worry that you're worrying about me
because i'm worried
and that it in itself worries me
oh brother
i'm going home to cry

That time of year again...

Kat's gonna hate me for this post...
*plunges ahead anyway*

School starts tomorrow. For me, anyway. And for my sister. The little darling heeded some good advice and has Clymer as her history teacher. I'm looking forward to school, don't ask me why, but I would like it if I had, say, another week to rest and recuperate from my "vacation." (That is, if you can call going to sleep around 130ish and waking up at 8ish every night for two weeks a vacation) But that's all right. This is going to be an early semester for me. I have to become a morning person. I'm going to do it, too. I told myself that last night. And if the SBF campaign can continue for three and a half weeks (today!), then I have the resolve to make myself get up in the mornings in a decent mood. My choice, right?

I've been telling myself lots of things lately. First, there was the SBF Campaign. Then the improved morning mood thing (which has actually been working over the last two days). And then a couple weeks ago, I was flipping through this kids catalogue and realized with a sudden clarity that I'm going to teach Kindergarten at NLA. Not right now, of course. But in a few years. It's not a "maybe-I-think-I might-consider-it-someday" thing, but I just know I'm going to do it. Sis. Green and Bro. Exum both think I could do it, so now I have something to plan for in my life. I don't think I'll make a career out of it, but I'll at least do it for one year. At least.

Oh, and in case you didn't notice--I'm back. *grin* Camp Meeting, then Sr. Camp. It was all very fun and exciting.

I drove home from work yesterday, and home from Hunan's today. I still don't like to drive, but I can get used to it. At least Mom doesn't have a heart attack every time I get behind the wheel now. *grin*

So I still have to get my books for English and Math, retrieve my Spanish Homework book from Professora Villagomez, and try not to make an idiot out of myself in my classes.

Your prayers would be appreciated.
Love you lots, all of you.
Yes, you too.
